@KENZOPR TWITTER ACCOUNT
BEHIND THE SCENES

Wondering what happens behind the doors of a major LVMH brand like Kenzo? What does a PR do? Just take celebrities out for expensive dinners… Maybe… Get an insight into this world rule by socialites by discovering what a mysterious PR assistant at Kenzo has to say and to tweet. We interview the one behind the tweets on @KenzoPR to retweet.
1. What kind of advantages does twitter bring to a brand?
@KenzoPR: It engages and fosters interactivity. Twitter overpasses demography and geography. It just makes it reality easy for brand fans and costumers to take part of a fashion conversation, plus it promotes professional relationships (more than once it has occurred that we end up meeting journalists/stylists/bloggers virtually over twitter and then afterwards in real life!)
2. Will you ever reveal yourself to the public or is mystery part of the game?
@KenzoPR:I think mystery is part of the game, many people dream to belong to the fashion industry, which has a risk: fashion being too superficial and less inspiring.
3. Who are your top 3 followers?
@KenzoPR:Jessica Michault from the IHT (@jessicamichault) – we have had some great conversation via Twitter she’s so funny and sweet as well as intelligent!
Bryanboy (@bryanboy) – Not only is he hilarious but he also knows so much about today’s fashion world now, he is not at all to be underestimated: a great guy!
IamMademoiselle (@iammademoiselle) – The columnist for Elle UK magazine, does a good job, many PRs try to emulate her! Indeed, she manages to keep her identity secret and still remains interesting to her followers by sharing a good deal of her daily routine.
4. Will Kenzo’s digital communication branch out with tumblr, blogs and other social media networks?
@KenzoPR:For the moment we have Facebook and Twitter and that’s already quite a lot of work to keep up with on a regular basis (as we do all have daily jobs too!) but in the future it would be great to branch out much more into the digital world.
5. How far would you like to push your Twitter account?
@KenzoPR:As far as possible, what matters is that it helps us in engaging our customers and in raising brand awareness mainly with this “behind the scenes” view it gives.
6. Can you share one of your ‘strange and exciting’ Twitter anecdotes?
@KenzoPR:After the menswear show last January I received a tweet from Jessica Michault explaining that she got lost because of Google map and that’s why she ran late while we were apologizing to her for having shouted at her to hurry and so her running!!
