The Int. Milan Design Art Fair: Day 4

Salone del Mobile - Eco Garden

Milan – Tortona area. A temporary design museum set up on the occasion of the annual design fair was my to-go-to destination yesterday. Not disappointed at all, I discovered an eco garden full of shapes, featuring innovative materials revealed by Adolfo Lugli’s rock lights.  But the real WOW experience was that these rocks are flats and that we, ladies, can actually walk on them without having our heels stuck in the mud. Eco chic + nice design = what do we want more?

After walking a bit through various installations my attention got caught by Roll & Hill’s surreal one. Somehow it recalled “submarine” to me, I would bet that the American designers Jason Miller and Lindsay Adelman have thought about it when they were working.

From “Tortona”, I went to the actual fair and had some real fun. Experimentation is definitively the best part of design, Never thought that a huge golf ball or a perfume tree could become a sofa! All my compliments to Gufram, we love it!

Want to know my favourite? The Veliero library by Franco Albini, clean and simple, a source of inspiration to get things in order.
