Following Rosie Huntingon-Whiteley On The ‘Transformers 3′ Circuit
Wearing The Row for Live with Regis & Kelly
Not that being a Victoria’s Secret star is all that shabby. But when director Michael Bay was commissioned to shoot a Victoria’s Secret video, it was pouty British model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley that stood out amongst the genetically blessed lot. Couple that with problems with actress Megan Fox of previous Transformers incarnations and you could say Rosie was privy to some great timing.
Bay eventually called up Whiteley and cast her for Carly, the damsel in distress, in the third flick in the series, “Transformer: Dark of the Moon.” The movie which is slated to open in theaters on June 29, will be Whiteley’s first foray into the silver screen. It’s certainly not a bad way to debut and a role opposite Shia LaBeouf at that.
But we’ll leave the dissection of her acting chops to more cinema-minded folks. Here we’re fully concentrated on her recent red carpet wardrobe. She’s done something of a worldwide sprint from Rio to Moscow to Berlin to London. That’s not counting her TV appearances which include David Letterman, Ellen and then on Tuesday June 28 for the Live with Regis & Kelly (see above).
Unlike some ingenues who opt for frip, Whiteley pulls an Angelina Jolie; she knows her looks are the exotic kind and go best with cleaner cuts. She favors The Row or Helmut Lang, and when it’s time to wow, she’ll do a sheer black skirt or a burst of hot pink. Or she’ll show a swath of skin in a plunging neckline such as a Burberry midnight blue gown or a Stella McCartney cocktail dress. Regardless, her picks have captivated a salivating tabloid crew. We’d say it’s a long ways from her rural roots in Plymouth, Devon.
