Chanel: A Glorious Undersea Collection
Karl Lagerfeld Presented the Spring Summer 2012 Collection in An Aquatic Mood

The theme was aquatic, huge shells and a submarine mood floated in the Gran Palais, the scenery where the magnificient Karl Lagerfeld show took place. Glorious iridescent weaves, rippling ruffles, metallic Chelsea boots and an almost entirely creamy, nacreous coloured collection. As ever, you get a bit of everything with a Chanel show – narrow skirts, fuller ones, dresses, a strong statement about white, but also some aqua, a bit of black and a dollop of pink. But overwhelmingly it was about lightness – and those feathery tweeds and chiffon ruches practically floated away. Surprising himself and all the critics, Karl presented Chanel spring collection 2012 under the Florence Welch’s incredible accompaniment. By the way, she sang live. Intricate techniques used in Chanel collection 2012 gave birth to the Spring/Summer 2012 trends. First of all it was silver, which managed to cool the summer hit. Metallic lamé skirts, silver tweed jackets and flat-footed metallic silver booties appeared on Chanel spring collection 2012 models. Then goes the pearl – pearlised tweed suits and pearl-studded jackets spines, pearl encrusted handheld clutches, all these detail would surely be catch waves of the next spring season.

Talking about the Chanel Spring/Summer Collection 2012 I can’t help mention wearing exotic wardrobe mixes. This collection was reach in routine breaking decisions. Elastic-edged bombers or metallic tweed jackets were proposed to be worn with pencil skirts of leather, chiffon vests and athletic shorts, as well as with pulsating lace or tulle skirts.
