One on One with Constance Jablonski
After starting her career by entering 2006’s French Elite Model Look Contest, this French beauty has since become one of the fashion world’s most coveted and illustrious models. She’s walked the runways for some of the world’s most fabulous designers, including Dior, Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueem and Balmain, been on endless Vogue covers, and in 2010 was the most booked model for that season (at 72 shows). But none of that compares to her latest coveted stint as a face of Estee Lauder, where she brings a fresh and modern sensibility to the beloved cosmetics giant.
Here the supermodel talks springtime in Paris, her favorite must-have trends of the season and why she loves being the face of Estee Lauder’s new spring Pure Color Topaz campaign.

Where was the “Pure Color Topaz” ad campaign shot?
The Pure Color Topaz ad campaign was shot outside a private home in Los Angeles, CA.
Where is your favorite place to be in the spring?
I love to be in Paris in spring because it’s the best time of the year, not too hot but warm enough to have dinner on café terraces, walk around the beautiful city, have picnics in parks…
What’s your favorite thing about spring?
Spring is a rebirth of everything …of flowers, trees, sun, people’s good moods, etc. It’s a new beginning, a new freshness, and the weather is so nice!
Spring is a time for renewal—what do you like to do to renew yourself in the spring?
To renew myself I love to walk around all day—no more driving in cars, start jogging outdoors, wear new clothes for the season, and get fresh spring fruits like nectarines, strawberries, and cherries at the markets.
How does spring in NYC compare to spring in Paris?
In NYC you can get any kind of fruit all year through, but in Paris, because of the smaller import market, you have different fruits every season! I Love it! Also, the temperature in NYC goes very high very quickly, while you have to wait until July for first heat wave in Paris.
Who are some of your favorite designers this spring?
This spring, I love Martin Margiela, Salvatore Ferragamo, Dolce & Gabbana, and Alberta Ferretti.
What are some of your must-have fashion items for spring?
I absolutely want this long white lace dress from Dolce & Gabbana, some “slippers brodées” shoes from Surface to Air in Paris, and a small Bottega Veneta bag.
Does your skin have different needs in the spring? If so, what do you do differently to care for your skin in the spring than the winter?
Yes, my skin is less dry during the spring compared to winter, so I use a lighter moisturizer like Hydrationist, and I use it only once a day.
What is your favorite daytime and evening beauty looks for spring?
Spring is about freshness! During daytime I love to wear only mascara, some high light on the temples, and some transparent gloss. For the evening I would go for a gold/brown or dark green eyeshadow, a little bit of eyeliner, and a glossy mouth again.
What beauty products do you have to have in the spring?
I love the new Illuminating Powder Gelee from the Pure Color Topaz collection. It will be great to use this for my instant summer glow! And I think the Pure Color Gloss in Citron Kiss will be fun to play with over another color.
You walked in X shows for Spring/ Summer. Which were your favorite shows and why?
Jean Paul Gaultier was my favorite show this season because it was a very special and original setting! The girls were actually changing on a big scaffold in front of the crowd, so people could see our shadows and silhouettes, and with the different lighting it looked really cool. Also, we were passing in front of people as if the clothes were auctioned, so we had to act and attract the public, and at the end of the runway we had to do a photoshoot with each of our outfits with Miles Aldridge. It was an amazing experience!”

Amazing girl!
1 year, 4 months AgoAs in the case of blue eyes, the color of green eyes does not result simply from the pigmentation of the iris. Rather, its appearance is caused by the combination of an amber or light brown pigmentation of the stroma, given by a low or moderate concentration of melanin, with the blue tone imparted by the Rayleigh scattering of the reflected light.`:
