KARL by Karl Lagerfeld

Today, Karl Lagerfeld released his highly anticipated collection, KARL, on the online luxury retailer, Net-a-Porter. Model, Saskia de Brauw emulates the iconic Chanel designer with a slicked back ponytail and stolid expression. The collection is good combination of Chanel and Karl himself. Chanel elements are apparent: a classic color palette of black and white with pops of metallic and structured shapes. However, there are idiosyncrasies that are purely Karl: mini biker gloves, playful sequin poplin collars, retro metallic hightop sneakers and zippers galore. The lower-priced collection ranges from $25 for a printed canvas tote bag to over $1,000 for a leather moto jacket, but most pieces stay in the mid-hundreds.
