Mulberry Takes to the Seaside for its

Spring/Summer 2012 Campaign

Mulberry’s Spring Summer 2012 season visits the Great British Seaside by way of the UK’s Brighton Beach, inspired by creative director Emma Hill’s memories of the English seasides of her childhood. An original pier against the backdrop of bright blue sky became the canvas for our seasonal campaign shoot, framed with dramatically oversized props and the bold brights of the new collection.

This seaside scene was captured by celebrated British photographer Tim Walker, the third campaign he has shot for the brand. This season’s Mulberry girls, models Frida Gustavsson and Lindsey Wixson, recline against giant topsy-turvy melting ice-creams, sticks of rock and striped sweet bags created by set designer Andy Hillman. The eclectic props against the backdrop of a classically English beach perfectly encapsulated the nostalgia, whimsy and Mulberry charm of Emma’s seasonal vision, under the creative direction of Ronnie Cookie Newhouse and her acclaimed House and Holme team.
