Diane von Furstenberg Spring/Summer 2012

‘Beginnings’ is the title of Diane von Furstenberg’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection. The collection draws inspiration from African culture. The show opened with some stunning and eye-catching white looks which were fantastically contrasted by exuberant, colorful prints predominately done in bright orange. The collection really felt like spring because of her use of natural fabrics like silk, cotton, and hemp. Overall, the collection was comfortable and elegant with a soft tenderness. And the series wouldn’t be complete without the classic, staple wrap dress. DVF also designed some gorgeous evening looks as well. Soft colors embellished with sequins were illuminating. Her translation of the African inspiration was stylish, beautiful and romantic.






As usual, DVF’s Spring/Summer 2012 front row was star studded including: Nina Garcia, Nicky Hilton, Rachel Zoe, Anna Wintour and Oscar de la Renta.
