Lanvin Spring / Summer 2012
The mood of the Lanvin collection for Spring/Summer 2012 was dark and demure yet still conveyed the flirtation of spring with ruched chiffon dresses and draped one-shouldered togas of nude and soft green silks. Keeping the collection as Lanvin’s classic feminine flair, glamorous accessories like classic cigarette box clutches and dresses that softly flowed from gold bars at the neck. Enormous crucifixes, rings and belt buckles were just the beginning of the intricate embellishments found around the necklines and down the sides of his asymmetrical dresses. An unexpected touch of masculinity was seen in this collection too; black trousers and tuxedo jackets with structured shoulders. Airy rose and tan silk tops paired with high-waisted dark colored pencil skirts.
