Academy Awards: Beauty report
Of course the gowns at the Oscars are beautiful, but how about the hair and makeup. This year’s red carpet showcased some of beauty’s biggest trends… here a just a few of the evening’s highlights…

Rooney Mara
Most people wouldn’t even realize that Rooney is a rookie when it comes to the red carpet but her look at the Oscars certainly earned her five stars. She kept it very classy and simple… her skin looked radiant and flawless, her bangs were sleek and shiny, and her matte red lips were just the pop of color she needed. Did this look remind anyone else of Audrey Hepburn? To achieve Rooney’s perfect matte lip try: Mac Lipstick Matte in Russian Red.

Jennifer Lopez
Jennifer Lopez seems to always get it exactly right when it comes to red carpet glamour and this year was absolutely no exception. Aside from the gorgeous long-sleeve Zuhair Murad gown, J.Lo’s 1960’s inspired swept up topknot hairstyle caught some attention as well. Although this look is a tough one for most people to pull-off, try the Conair Bun Maker 6 Piece Kit for an elegant, flawless bun just like J.Lo’s.

Sandra Bullock
Just like Jennifer Lopez, Sandra Bullock is no stranger to red carpet glam. This year, her smoky eye and sleek ponytail were truly the essence of mature, grown up glamour and sophistication. As we all know, a smoky eye is much easier said than done! For a smoky eye as glamorous as Sandra’s, try Almay’s Intense I-Color Smoky-I Kit, available in four shade collections for blue, brown, hazel or green eyes.

Emma Stone
Emma Stone’s look for the Oscar’s was all about the eyes. It was glamorous, sophisticated, and lighthearted – all at once. Her make-up artist traced her lash line with liquid black eyeliner, which really made her green eyes pop. A great liquid eyeliner is hard to find but my personal favorite is Lancome’s Artliner, I actually use it every day!

Shailene Woodey
Shailene Woodey’s eyes also caught our eye! Like Emma Stone, liquid eyeliner helped define her eyes, making them really pop. But, her lashes are what really made the difference. Dark mascara really played up her natural, dark eye color. Try Givenchy’s Phenomen’Eyes Mascara to get luscious, stand-out lashes just like Shailene’s.
