Missoni Spring 2012

Since 1998, Angela Missoni has been the creative drive behind Missoni’s colorful knitwear and fun styles that make their way down the runway season after season. For Missoni’s Spring 2012 collection, her summer stay in Sardinia inspired her most. Night after night, Angela watched her young daughters come home from being out on the town and she got to thinking about styles that would be best for these fun evenings. Her collection reflected that inspiration by housing spontaneous, improvised and mobile styles. Featuring ruffled tiers, fringe, patches and asymmetrical details – the collection had great movement. True to Missoni fashion, the collection was full of prints but this time, animal prints – zebra in particular. Overall the collection was busy, sexy, flowy and FUN! Rich hues of blues, berrys and yellows make the collection the epitome of spring.
