No. 21 Spring 2012

Alessandro Dell’Acqua’s spring 2012 collection, of his brand No. 21, was all about crisp Italian menswear-shirting fabrics and the perfect spring shades of light blue, blue/green and cotton madras. Overall, the collection was clean with a preppy flair. Each look was very wearable and somehow the designer made shirt-and-pant looks, made out of the same fabric, work flawlessly. The show presented a breath of fresh, springtime air. The designer succeeded in using masculine fabrics and cuts in a very feminine collection. Mini-dresses, subtle lace details and a jeweled and sequined statement skirt are amongst some of the soft, feminine details of this collection.
