Diane von Furstenberg

Two words: modern & bohemian. And the colors were vivid and the silhouettes were quirky. This spring, DVF opted for draping, inspired by the 1960’s. In her own words, this collection was “with the polish of a princess and the heart of a gypsy, she is an aristocratic dreamer…” This collection was an incredible mix of style and innovation.

Badgely Mischka

McCollough explained that they wanted to explore “a mix of technology and craft,” and they utilized time-honored techniques like patchwork and The designers were inspired by the 1935 film version of A Midsummer’s Night Dream. With that said, the collection was fabulously romantic as the models emerged down the runway from a woodsy backdrop. Each gown completely and totally adorned in sparkle. Sprinkled in with the eveningwear were some more daytime looks like tweed jackets.

Vera Wang

Vera Wang drew inspiration from India for this Spring series. It was all about the texture and embroidery, making her collection perfectly exotic and eye-catching. And, the renowned designer gave us a nice change of pace with an extremely sophisticated style of Bermuda shorts. Rich in color and style, some of our favorite pieces included her fun-styled skirts.

Rodarte

Rodarte designed for powerful fashionista, who is a little fantastical and a little heroic. This collection was comprised of a series of very structured styles contrasted by patchwork and dragon motifs. It may sound bizarre but, this season Rodarte really stepped it up and we’re impressed.

Elie Tahari

Let’s start with this fabulous, spring color palette: neutrals elevated with pops of pink, sky blue, bright yellow and orange and a beautiful seashore green. Now, picture those colors in watercolor prints. Simply beautiful and very chic. Aside from the standout color palette, we loved the slim cut trousers and the spring-ready shift dresses. Bravo to Ingo Wilts, the brand’s new creative director, on his first Elie Tahari spring collection!
