If handbags are your guilty pleasure, than you must hear about TL-180. Founded by two, young and hip French-Italians, Tine Peduzzi and Luisa Orsini. They wanted to take a unique and creative approach to handbag design.
So, what makes them different? Having formal training in architecture and fashion, the two drew inspiration upon the work of German artist, Anselm Kiefer. Kiefer was known for his technique of “destroying to better recreate.” This technique posed an interesting challenge for the design pair, a challenge that they overcame with flying colors.
The most unique aspect of each piece is found within the item’s materials, high-end and expensive leathers and animal skins “roughed up” giving them their unconventional appearance. In order to build brand recognition and customer loyalty, the TL-180 team focused on originality, quality and price point. We’ve spotted TL-180 pieces in several fashion magazines.
