Rita Ora
Recently, I’ve been loving the work of some fresh face musicians… and I’m confident that I’m not the only one! British singer – songwriter Rita Ora is pretty new to the music scene.
Her first album, titled “Ora” debuted at number one in the UK – her most popular singles included “Hot Right Now,” “How We Do (Party),” and “R.I.P.” Ora got her start by singing in bars in London and impressed a producer at the Roc Nation label. Within days, the label flew her to NYC to meet Jay-Z and soon after, Ora appeared as a cameo in Jay-Z’s “Young Forever” video as well as “Over” by Drake.
Her breakthrough to commercial success occurred in 2011, with the help of some musical powerhouses including will.i.am, Ester Dean, Drake, The Dream and Kanye West. If you haven’t heard her music, it’s definitely worth a listen. “Ora” by Rita Ora.
