Happy 60th Anniversary Chloé

This year we are delighted to celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of  la Maison Chloé, with the awe-inspiring collection of the sixteen creations, which have made the brand what it is today. This selection, carefully selected from the House’s archives, represents each designer’s signature piece, designed for the feminine, Parisian woman Chloé have created since 1952.

Gaby Aghion designed the classic blouse for the 60s woman, and the autumn casual dress, which illustrate everything we love about our original Chloéwoman, a look which screams ‘I am carefree.’ Stella McCartney’s depiction of Karl Lagerfeld’s fun and funky girl was a creation in the form of the wide neck T-shirt with the pineapple print in the background. This should be paired with the classic Chloe jeans, which hit our catwalks in 2004, in the famous ‘Low Rise’ style.

Named after the London district, Spring 2005 saw the entrance of the Paddington Bag, waiting lists were as long as the district itself, representing our typical city girl. Then along came the chain, the Camera Bag stormed in to our lives and dominated our arms in Spring 2003, the chain soon became an infamous Chloémust. Phoebe Philo soon revisited the romanticism of our Parisian woman, creating the A-Line blouse and the Wedge Sandal, evoking innocence and luxury. Whilst going back to the 1970s we saw the Galaxy Dress, which embraces the famous leaf motif.

In 2009-10 Hannah MacGibbon designed the beautiful Camel Cape, paired with the High-Waisted Shorts, to re-embrace the masculine-feminine spirit created in the 70s. Then the collection reintroduces the Silverado bag, laden with leather and lace. Continuing with the leather theme the knee-high boots are key to this collection, as is the Silk Paisley Scarf finalising this bohemian yet luxurious look.

The limited edition pieces from this collection come in the form of the glamorous Black Clutch with the fan embroidery and the Violin Motif dress which highlights the 80s and Lagerfeld’s appreciation of the woman’s figure.

This collection is nothing but outstanding, with creations from every era suited for every one of our much-loved ‘Chloé women’.
