Hello there, just got back from classes and I gotta say im loving that its warmer now. Im crossing my fingers for that the weather keeps going up. I hate it when I just have to put on a huge coat that covers everything im wearing underneath. Happens to you? Anyways, this jacket is really cute, even though is kind of hard to combine it looks great when paird with black and grey pieces. I wanted to make the outfit more casual and less girly so I added the creepers!

Anyways I wanted to share something with you and ask you to help me !I submitted one of the pictures of my blog where I styled my outfit on a Lord and Taylor styling competition and now I am a finalist along with other 7 girls (Students from FIT and LIM)!!!! So I had to make an outfit with Lord and Taylor garments, from head to toe. It was kind of hard because the options werent much since most of the brands had a more classic style, however I managed to select some stuff to put up a very hippie boho look, yet keeping the elegance in the outfit. I hope you like it actually (: The big prize is a part of a scholarship, something I literally been looking for all this time. I am trying to look for ways to be able to continue my career here so this is really a great opportunity for me.

Acabo de volver de clases y debo admitir que estoy emocionada por que hace mucho menos frio ahora. Ojalá que el clima comience a calentarse mas por que la verdad que detesto tener que ponerme un abrigo gigante encima de todo lo que tengo puesto! No les pasa? En fin, me gusta muchísimo esta casaca. Aunque es un poco complicada de combinar, me encanta como se ve con prendas negras y grises! Le queria dar un toque mas casual y menos delicado así que me puse las creepers.
En fin, queria compartir algo con ustedes y si es posible pedirles que me ayuden!

He quedado una de las 8 finalistas en un concurso de styling de Lord & Taylor. El concurso invitó a estudiantes de FIT y LIM para enviar una foto de styling hecho por uno mismo. No estaba seguro al comienzo pero luego decidí enviar una foto de mi blog! Casi me desmayo cuando me dijeron que quedé una de las 8 finalistas. Tuve que ir y crear un look todo hecho con prendas de Lord & Taylor (lo cual fue muy difícil por que Lord & Taylor cuenta con marcas muy clásicas y elegantes, para ser honesta) pero aun así hice lo que pude. Mi look es medio hippie y boho pero manteniendo un poco de elegancia. Espero que les guste! El premio es una beca para continuar mis estudios aca en NY, justamente algo que he estado buscando de mil maneras por que aun no se como hare en un futuro para continuar estudiando acá.

I love this jumper/cardigan so much.  The grey shades makes this piece more versatile to wear with other stuff. I love the navajo print, it looks good with all kinds of vintage graphic t-shirts , as well as  blazers on top. If youre looking for a nice printed jumper I would definitely go for one with similar shades (such as grey and black, blue and dark blue), so that you can pair it with more colors.  The one Im wearing is from the Clock Strikes Vintage, this amazing vintage store that has really cool selections. You should check it out here. Also this velvet dress is just so buttery soft and I cant imagine how great it will look in summer with nothing else.

Hola! Supongo que se imaginan cuanto me gusta este cardigan. No he parado de usarlo desde que lo consegui, es super versatil por los colores que tiene, gris y negro van con todo. Tambien lo he combinado con t-shirts con estampado y otras blusas debajo. Si buscan algun cardigan con estampado les recomiendo ir por uno que tenga la misma gama de colores en diferentes tonos para poder combinarlo con otros colores. El que uso es de Clock Strikes Vintage, una tienda online que vende prendas vintage bien originales. Visiten la tienda aca. El vestido de terciopelo es demasiado bello, la tela es super suave. No me imagino lo bien que se va a ver en verano.

Me voy a enviar algunas prendas! No se olviden de visitar la tienda del blog aca. Estoy vendiendo cosas que me encantan pero creo que ya es hora de que tengan otra dueña.

I wore this outfit a couple of days ago, of course it was really cold so I added a vintage leather jacket on top when I went out. The wedges are extremely comfortable, they feel almost like flat shoes. The vest is from To Dye for Denim. The store is so good, it has these amazing shorts with studs. Este outfit lo use hace unos dias, y obviamente como hace mucho frio me puse una casaca de cuero vintage encima cuando sali. Las plataformas son bien comodas, casi se sienten como zapatos chatos! Hola! Acabo de regresar a mi casa despues de un dia largaso , he hecho demasiadas cosas hoy. Este outfit lo use dos veces la semana pasada por lo mucho que me gusta. El abrigo es buenaso y me encanta que sea como un blazer (saco) no tan elegante por el material.

This is an outfit for those days that I really just want to throw on layers of layers and head to class. Its perfect for slouchy days, the typical attire when I want to be comfortable now is wearing some leggings, a t-shirt, huge scarf and something else. The jacket is the same from the last post, I really like that it enhances any outfit as a great layer. It has this kind of soft suede feel to it. And the scarf is just as cozy as it looks.
I’m actually in my class right now in a little break the professor just gave us. What a Monday, I end up classes at 10pm. Ughh im tired as hell! Hope you’re having a great night!

Este outfit es el típico que uso en los días que solo quiero usar capas de prendas del mismo color.. negro casi siempre. Es lo que normalmente uso cuando quiero estar cómoda, leggings, un t-shirt, una chalina grande y algo encima. La casaca/chaqueta (o como lo llamen!) es de un material bien suave, como de gamuza. Y la chalina es demasiado rica para el frío que esta haciendo.
Les confieso que estoy en el break de mi clase ahorita así que no puedo escribir mas! Ha sido un lunes bien pesado, y todavía termino a las 10pm! Que tengan buenas noches! Adiós

I still dont understand what exactly inspired me to put this outfit together, but the beret reminds me of the classic french style. Im not a big fan of berets, in fact, I didnt like them that much but since my aunt gave it to me as a present I started using it and kind of developed a love for it.  Now its one of the main hats I wear, besides the beanie of course. Anyways this look is quite simple and reflects how sometimes I just like to wear denim with black.
Ive been getting a hell lot of qs regarding the shoes and if they are comfy, well let me tell you these are the best heels in terms of comfort. They feel way much better than most of my other shoes with heels due to the platform. I also get another question a lot.. what are my favorite online stores. . Truth is, the brands in the sidebar of my blog are amazing. I really am very picky when it comes to putting banners in my “favorites” section so trust me! they wouldnt be there if I didnt love them.

Aun no entiendo que me inspiro para juntar este outfit pero me recuerda mucho al estilo clasico frances por la boina. Jamas pense que usaria una, pero mi tia me la regalo por mi santo y poco a poco la he comenzado a usar mas. Ahora me encanta y es una de mis favoritas.. aparte del beanie, obviamente. Este look es uno de los mas simples que he hecho pero aveces solo me provoca usar denim con negro. He recibido miles de preguntas acerca de la comodidad de los zapatos que uso en estas fotos.. bueno, son demasiado cómodos, mucho mas cómodos que la mayoría de mis tacos por la plataforma que tienen.
Tambien me han preguntado mucho acerca de mis tiendas online favoritas La verdad es que siempre ando buscando ropa de segunda, pero las que mas me gustan por internet son las que salen en mi sidebar. Si estan ahi es por algo!
Me voy a visitar a mi tia y disfrutar de la nieve, que tengan un gran sábado.

Everything is second hand here. I know , i wear this tee SO much .. but I cant get enough of it, its just perfect. I will be on the hunt of more band tees, they are so adaptable, wearable during winter and summer, with scarves, layers, jumpers, leather jackets, or just like that with a simple blouse or a simple vest or , if youre laid back enough, with a maxi skirt.

Todo lo que uso en estas fotos es de segunda mano! Lo se, este t-shirt lo he usado miles de veces, pero creo que nunca me voy a cansar de usarlo, es demasiado combinable. Supongo que buscare otros para variar un poco mas. Lo que mas me gusta de los t-shirts de bandas o con graficos es que los puedes combinar en invierno y en verano..
