bareMinerals

i care about my skin a lot, so much that i broke up with sunbathing to delay the onset of wrinkles and freckles, and that i put on anti-aging serum, hydrating emulsion and intensive cream every single night notwithstanding that i m a slacker.

the only harmful thing i do to my skin is really having makeup on from 9am-11pm (well and maybe eating too much deep fried food as well…:-p)

the products of bareMinerals, as you may already know, are made of natural ingredients without any preservatives or irritating chemicals. what makes them so special is they are “so pure that you can sleep in it”…not that i’m gonna try, but sounds very comforting isn’t it?

its spf 15 foundation is powdery. confession: having used liquid foundation for all my life, i was skeptical about its ability to smoothly cover and conceal, but it nicely surprised me by leaving my skin with a even, matte yet velvety finish. on top of this, it’s more long lasting than the liquid foundation i’ve previously used!

it’ll take some time to adapt to this new way of applying foundation. the keywords are swirl (柔柔轉-是說明書的譯法啊^^), tap (輕輕敲) & buff (勻勻刷):

.

.

1. pour a small amount of bareMinerals into to the lid
2. swirl: angle the brush until all the power has been tucked into the brush bristles
3. tap: remove any excess from brush by tapping the brush onto the edge of the lid
4. buff: hold the brush like a pen and apply bareMinerals onto the skin in a swirling, circular motion, starting on the outside of your face, until you’re satisfied with the coverage

.

.

i applied “emotion” (dark, shimmering purple) on the upper eyelid and “in a jam” (kinda like lavender shimmer) on the lower.

.

.

“velvet” on my cheeks and “icing” on my lips :>

.

.

i’m a big fan now!!!
